Battle: Swiss Chocolate

Whose Chocolate will reign supreme!?!
**crunchingly bites into a lindt chocolate bunny**

As you all know by now, Matthew and I are issuing little food challenges to keep ourselves entertained during some of the longer travelling spells during our trip - attention spans of fruit flies really....

This week, it was battle: Swiss Chocolate

My selection was: Swiss Dream - Milk Chocolate
Matt's section was: Coeur de Suisse - Milk Chocolate (probably hoping he'd get bonus marks for the name)
AND the third party was the favourite chocolate of our tour guide and celebrity guest:
Lindt Chocolate - Milk Chocolate

THE VERDICT:

15 possible points:
Presentation (5)
Taste - especially relating to "milky" (5)
Texture (5)

Swiss Dream:
Presentation: 3.5 <-- Kinda "English" ized maybe?
Taste: 4 <-- Not too sweet, definite milk chocolate
Texture: 4 <-- Fairly smooth, only a little grainy
11.5 / 15

Couer de Suisse:
Presentation: 3.5 <-- little old school... paper wrapper was seriously glued in place to the extreme
Taste: 4 <-- Darker, less "milky" and a little sweeter than the Swiss Dream
Texture: 3.5 <-- Grainy
11 / 15

Lindt:
Presentation: 3.5 <-- nice stiff paper with nice foil inside..
Taste: 2.5 <-- Taste was very "malty" rather than"milky" and it over powered the chocolate a bit
Texture: 4 <-- smooth and dreamy, but isn't that what Lindt is known for?
10 / 15

Winner is the Swiss Dream, with a very close second going to the Couer de Suisse.. Lindt trailed behind due to both Matthew and I not really liking it when comparing it to the other two milk chocolates. Perhaps it's just a matter of taste, but milk and malt in my mind are two different flavours...

But fear not, Lindt lovers of the world... they won a special "award" with the most memorable advertising!
