Belgium Chocolate

Every country has a claim to fame... England has fish and chips, France has the baguette, Amsterdam has weed, and naturally, Italy has hairy men... but Belgium is famous for clock towers and, even more so, chocolate....

I hesitate to remind you that Switzerland is also famous for their chocolate - and, because of their mass exports over the last decade, Swiss chocolate is likely more recognizable by Canadians. This means that perhaps - Belgium has lost it's original claim to fame in the wake of globalization?

Apparently not!
Belgium is still known for their chocolate - apparently it's even better than Swiss because all of their chocolates are fresh... freshly made to be enjoyed on the spot - rather than being packaged up with preservatives and shipped to Canada!

So... Matt and I - under the direction of a shop lady who said "everything was excellent" randomly pointed out several smooth and luscious Belgium Chocolates to try...

Our favorite - which will likely shock no one... was the one that tasted of chocolate and hazelnuts or Nutella or Ferrero Rocher. We tired several other types - maple, walnut, almond, and creme filled - but our soft spot gave in and here it was...
Just a few examples of the decadent bits of Chocolate

Matt, finally realizing that women were right - Chocolate is better than sex!
